Job Requirements
- must have one year of work experience performing cleaning duties
- must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- must produce original documents such as driver’s license or certifications within five days of offer
- must meet safety-sensitive position requirements
- must be able to perform very heavy physical work involving lifting 50 pounds frequently
- must submit veteran discharge documents if claiming veteran preference
Job Qualifications
- one year of work experience performing cleaning duties
- knowledge of facilities cleaning methods and types of cleaners for various surfaces
- ability to use hand and power-driven cleaning and polishing equipment
- ability to perform strenuous work including moving heavy objects and operating floor equipment
- proficiency in caring for tools and economical use of cleaning supplies
- ability to function independently maintaining high cleanliness standards
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn repetitive tasks
- ability to exercise safety and care to avoid injury or property damage
Job Duties
- performing a variety of cleaning, sanitizing, and janitorial tasks throughout county buildings and facilities
- assisting in training departmental staff to maintain consistent cleaning standards
- frequently lifting and moving heavy objects
- climbing, reaching, and occasional outdoor assignments to support facility upkeep
- operating brooms, mops, electric floor waxers, and other cleaning equipment
- caring for assigned tools, supplies, and materials
- following verbal and written instructions to complete routine cleaning tasks
