Job Requirements
- Person with a disability as mandated by the AbilityOne federal contract
- able to successfully complete criminal history background check
- able to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- able to stand a majority of the work time
- able to walk a significant portion of the work time
- able to sit as needed
- able to lift and carry 35 pounds
- able to push and pull 35 pounds
- able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and handle
- able to use ladders and stairs
- able to clean low and high areas, benches and corners
- able to communicate with supervisors and coworkers
- willing to cooperate with team members
- willing to perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- three to six months of training or experience working as a janitor preferred
- capable of learning to perform essential job functions
- strong sense of integrity
- able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- able to obtain and maintain government security clearance
Job Duties
- Sweep and mop hallways, stairs and offices
- empty wastebaskets and dispose the trash in prescribed manner
- dust horizontal surfaces
- clean bathrooms
- clean glass and windows
- wash walls and other vertical surfaces
- vacuum rugs
- mix cleaning solutions
- maintain issued equipment
- notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks
- cooperate with team members
- other duties assigned by Custodial Supervisor
