Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, lifting, climbing ladders and stairs
- able to follow oral and written instructions
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- regular and timely attendance during scheduled hours
- willingness to be on call during service times

- ability to complete assigned responsibilities and duties under direction from supervisor as well as to be self-motivated and take individual initiative

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain building facilities
- sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment
- assist in intensive floor care including carpet cleaning, waxing, or polishing
- dust partitions, walls, fixtures and other equipment
- clean windows and window frames, inside and outside
- clean bathrooms
- gather and dispose of trash in offices and outside receptacles
- assist with set up, tear down, arranging, and/or removing of tables, chairs, and equipment to prepare the facility for ministries, special events, weddings and funerals
- assist in building security by locking and unlocking buildings
- be on call during service times for emergency clean up or assistance
- perform other projects/duties as assigned
