- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Job Duties
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpets, rugs, windows and walls
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors in offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms and other work areas
- Clean stains from chairs and upholstered furniture
- Keep furniture free of dust including lighting fixtures, marble surfaces and moldings
- Empty trash cans and clean trash cans and ashtrays
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools and phones
- Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies
- Wash and clean windows and mirrors
- Empty trash and recycling containers to disposal area
- Clean trash and snow from sidewalks if necessary
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance needs
- Maintain a cleaning chart indicating cleaned and inspected areas
- Follow safety and precaution rules
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Close doors at the end of night shift
