Job Duties
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, and walls
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas
- Clean stains from chairs and upholstered furniture
- Keep furniture and surfaces free of dust including lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings
- Empty and clean trash cans, ashtrays, and recycling containers
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones
- Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies
- Wash and clean windows and mirrors
- Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking if needed
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance needs
- Maintain a cleaning chart indicating cleaned and inspected areas
- Follow safety and precaution rules
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Close doors at the end of the night shift
