Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform the tasks of the position
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing to exchange information
- Permanent non-competitive appointment eligibility
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 6am to 2pm
- Ability to supervise cleaning personnel
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Compliance with New York State civil service regulations
Job Qualifications
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to supervise and lead cleaning personnel
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 6am to 2pm

Job Duties
- Serve as a working supervisor and supervise the day shift lower-level cleaning personnel
- Assign tasks
- Provide instructions and assistance
- Demonstrate proper cleaning procedures
- Review work in progress and upon completion
- Monitor time and attendance
- Evaluate performance
- Polish wood and metal surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment
- Check and fill supplies and equipment functionality
- Notify supervisor of low supply levels, equipment malfunction, and building maintenance issues noted during cleaning
- Perform cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors
- Assist with ordering and restocking of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Perform additional duties as required
