Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- able to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting for long periods, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- ability to comply with airport security screening requirements
- willingness to wear uniform if required
- ability to use cleaning equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired
- good listening and verbal communication skills
- ability to understand and anticipate the needs of clients
- punctuality
- ability to maintain a neat appearance
- ability to attend periodic training and safety meetings
Job Duties
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
- dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures
- moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas
- removes stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- sweeps walks, rakes leaves, cuts grass, removes snow or performs other incidental seasonal tasks
- empties waste baskets and replaces liners
- cleans and sanitizes toilets, basins, and urinals
- wipes and cleans all table tops, chairs, vending machines and appliances
- refills all restroom dispensers as needed
- maintains janitor's closet neat and orderly and properly maintains cleaning equipment
- attends periodic training and safety meetings
- applies and removes protection applications to walls, floors and equipment
