- ability to work full time from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months of experience in a janitorial position
- attention to detail
- ability to follow instructions effectively
- prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
- familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards preferred
- knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing preferred
- experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
- empty trash cans for proper disposal and use of compactor for certain materials
- clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
- spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
- replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
- follow housekeeping schedule
- occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
- perform other duties as assigned according to work scope or customer needs
