Job Duties
- Complete all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpeting
- Perform project work and specialty tasks such as conference room set up and dismantle cleaning of stairwells and elevators and hanging of cubicle curtains
- Clean and disinfect specialty units and equipment including surgical services labor delivery critical care endoscopy MRI trauma cath lab NICU mental health and burn unit
- Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements
- Use proper and safe chemical handling equipment and labor saving products
- Maintain a safe care environment for patients staff and visitors as appropriate
- Operate heavy mechanical cleaning equipment such as scrubbers buffers polishers extractors and wet vacuuming equipment
