Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience performing cleaning tasks using standard or janitorial cleaning tools or industrial-type cleaning equipment
- Ability to safely operate heavy industrial cleaning equipment
- Physical ability to perform moderately heavy physical effort including lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Capability to work part-time hours between 20 and 34.5 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience performing cleaning tasks using standard or janitorial cleaning tools or industrial-type cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance
- Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule
- Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Receives specific oral or written instructions and assignments from supervisor or crew leader
- Maintains a specific area orderly and clean
- Sets up own schedule and sequence for required frequency of each task
- Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy industrial vacuum cleaner
- Adjusts, cleans, oils machines and changes brushes, rollers, buffers and other attachments
- Sweeps floors, hallways, empties garbage, dusts office furniture, empties ashtrays, shampoos rugs, cleans air vents, disinfects and deodorizes toilets and lavatories
- Washes and replaces venetian blinds, washes ceiling fixtures, changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
- Cleans, maintains machines and equipment and makes adjustments
- Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor and performs minor repairs
- Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, floors, fixtures using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment
- Cleans windows and doors inside and out at ground levels
- May operate motor vehicle in performance of duties on a limited basis
- Performs other related duties as assigned
