Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of experience in janitorial work
- Completion of required technical training
- Ability to operate janitorial equipment
- Proficiency in English language
- Ability to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work under direct supervision and take initiative
Job Qualifications

- Ability to operate janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, wet-vacuums, and pressure cleaners
- Hands-on knowledge of janitorial duties, painting, and basic groundskeeping services
- At least one year of experience in janitorial work
- Verbal and written language skills in English
- Understanding of the needs of elderly and handicapped residents
- Ability to take initiative in duties
Job Duties
- Implement systematic schedules for keeping all common areas, offices, hallways, lobby areas, common restrooms, laundry room, lounge, elevators, stairwells clean and free from hazards
- Gather and dispose of all refuse daily from designated areas and clean trash receptacles
- Clean and maintain public bathrooms in common areas and offices daily with frequent checks for sanitation and supply adequacy
- Vacuum all carpeting in hallways, offices, and lobby and spot clean carpets as needed
- Dust and wet mop all vinyl flooring areas and implement regular waxing and buffing
- Clean windows and glass entry doors according to scheduled frequency
- Clean light fixtures and replace bulbs as needed, including checking emergency lighting daily
- Maintain inventory control of janitorial equipment and supplies and ensure proper supply on hand
- Participate in make-ready unit turns including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning
- Perform basic ground services such as trash and debris removal and walkway sweeping
- Assist maintenance staff when needed
