Job Requirements

- ability to operate heavy mechanical cleaning equipment
- knowledge of biohazard disposal techniques
- familiarity with healthcare cleaning standards
- physical ability to perform manual labor tasks

Job Qualifications

- previous healthcare experience preferred
- specialist or terminal cleaning experience preferred
- ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- knowledge of proper chemical usage and safety protocols
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment
Job Duties
- Performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpeting
- cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment
- requests assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed
- responsible for cleaning and disinfection of specialty units and equipment including surgical services, labor delivery, critical care, endoscopy, MRI, trauma, cath lab, NICU, mental health, and burn unit
- performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements
- ensures proper and safe chemical use and equipment handling
- assists in onboarding new Environment Services Technicians and serves as a mentor
- remains patient, kind and personable in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff
