Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to operate scrubbers buffers polishers extractors and wet vacuuming equipment
  • knowledge of biohazard material disposal procedures
  • experience in specialized cleaning techniques
  • ability to work in a hospital environment
  • good physical stamina
  • commitment to safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare experience
  • specialist or terminal cleaning experience
  • high school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting principles
  • ability to operate heavy mechanical cleaning equipment
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpeting
  • cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment requesting assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed
  • responsible for cleaning and disinfection of specialty units and equipment including surgical services labor delivery critical care endoscopy MRI trauma cath lab NICU mental health and burn unit
  • performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles proper and safe chemical use equipment handling and labor saving products for items within the specialty environment tasked with servicing
  • assist in onboarding new environment services technicians and serve as a mentor
  • remain patient kind and personable in all interactions with patients visitors and staff
