Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience as restaurant manager or 2 years as assistant manager
  • completion of Jack in the Box Restaurant Manager training classes
  • SERVSafe certification
  • ability to work full time
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • proficiency in financial analysis
  • ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required for internal promotion, working towards AA or BA/BS degree
  • AA degree acceptable for external recruit, BA/BS in Business, Management, Hospitality or related field preferred
  • minimum 1 year as restaurant manager or 2 years as assistant manager for internal promotion
  • minimum 2 years managing customer service concept with P&L responsibility for external recruit
  • ability to speak, read and write English effectively, Spanish preferred
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • working knowledge of financial concepts and profit and loss statements
  • proven analytical, organizational and planning skills
  • proficient in personal computers and related software
  • valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • ability to travel to multiple restaurant locations as required
  • completion of Jack in the Box Restaurant Manager training classes
  • SERVSafe certification
  • at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Provide oversight and strategic leadership to multiple restaurant locations
  • implement and maintain the company’s culture and inspire all team members
  • recruit and hire restaurant employees, audit training completion, recommend promotions and pay changes
  • implement and manage systems for training employees and develop internal candidates for career opportunities
  • create a safe, fun, and clean restaurant environment
  • treat all employees with respect and regularly recognize and reward them
  • provide constructive feedback for performance improvement
  • utilize company systems, comply with policies and laws
  • review employee performance and modify practices for guest experience
  • oversee food and packaging inventory and monitor waste
  • ensure completion of repairs and maintenance
  • approve employee schedules and monitor labor law compliance
  • audit and verify daily deposit records
  • handle guest incidents and ensure high-quality guest service
  • monitor restaurant cleanliness and maintenance
  • maximize financial performance of each restaurant
  • develop initiatives for revenue growth and expense management
  • analyze operational and financial performance data
  • adhere to budget and report variances
  • hire and terminate restaurant staff
  • manage day-to-day operations
  • conduct performance evaluations and coaching
  • solve problems using rigorous logic and analysis
  • foster a positive culture and promote company values
  • motivate and inspire employees to achieve goals
