Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in upscale, buffet, bar, and restaurant environments
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clear communication skills in conversational English
- Prior cash handling experience
- Valid Nevada Alcohol Awareness card
- Nevada Gaming Registration
- Identification proving identity and legal right to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience
- Upscale, buffet, bar, and restaurant experience
- Strong communication skills in conversational English
- Prior cash handling experience
- Knowledge of restaurant management software like OpenTable, InfoGenesis, and RedRocks
- Ability to train and lead front-of-house employees
- Understanding of health department regulations and food service standards
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all employees in the F&B department
- Assist in front-of-house duties including host, server, busser, bartender side work, expediting, and putting requisitions away
- Partner with restaurant GM to manage financial, payroll, and administrative duties accurately and on time
- Ensure colleagues are knowledgeable about restaurant offerings, products, services, events, pricing, policies, and local area events
- Maintain an active presence in the restaurant and event spaces by leading daily line-ups, department meetings, conducting walk-throughs, and coordinating in REO meetings
- Manage all restaurant inventories including food, liquor, beer, wine, furniture, accessories, office supplies, equipment, and tools, keeping detailed records on-hand quantities, costs, and quality levels
- Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets while ensuring high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
- Supervise all front-of-house employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, work planning, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation, service, cleanliness, proper uniforms, health regulations, and appearance standards
- Participate in staff training on wines, spirits, cocktails, and beverage services
- Promote a from scratch environment including food offerings and signature cocktails
- Collaborate with Restaurant Executive Chef to build and execute private events programs
- Assist in brand promotion in the local community through events and word-of-mouth
- Train employees on proper customer service practices in an upscale environment
- Utilize restaurant management software such as OpenTable, InfoGenesis, and RedRocks
