Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience
  • upscale, buffet, bar, and restaurant experience
  • minimum age 21 years
  • clear communication skills in conversational English

Job Qualifications

  • experience in inventory and labor management

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all employees in the food and beverage department
  • assist in front-of-house duties including hosting, serving, bussing, bartending side work, expediting, and putting requisitions away
  • partner with the restaurant general manager to handle financial and payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • ensure staff have current knowledge of outlet offerings, products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area information
  • maintain an active presence throughout the restaurant and event spaces by leading daily line-ups, department meetings, and conducting operational walkthroughs
  • manage all restaurant inventories including food, liquor, beer, wine, furniture, accessories, office supplies, and equipment
  • utilize labor effectively to meet budget and quality standards, schedule labor according to business needs
  • supervise front-of-house employees responsible for hiring, training, appraisal, performance management, and staff discipline
  • ensure consistent high quality of food preparation, service, restaurant cleanliness, uniforms, health regulations, and appearance standards
  • follow company procedures and regulations with full accuracy
  • participate in staff training of wines, spirits, cocktails, and elevated beverage services
  • promote a from-scratch environment including food offerings and signature cocktails
  • collaborate with the Restaurant Executive Chef to build, plan, and execute private events in dining and lounge spaces
  • assist in brand promotion through community engagement and restaurant events
  • train new and current employees on upsale customer service practices
  • utilize restaurant management software such as OpenTable, InfoGenesis, and RedRocks
