Job Requirements

  • Ability to meet all agency vaccine and health-related policies and guidance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Ability to work with various cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Ability to stand, stoop, twist, and bend for the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to perform heavy work involving lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and unscheduled shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • Six months experience in housekeeping related support service
  • Ability to work with various types of cleaning equipment
  • Ability to handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Job Duties

  • Provides routine, repetitive housekeeping tasks and duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderly resident rooms and buildings
  • Collaborates with the Activity Department for group activities by providing clean-up of garbage from activities on the units and facility events as directed
  • Promptly reports supply shortages and equipment problems or repairs needed to the supervisor
  • Assists in the training of other workers and discusses expectations and progress with the supervisor
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of housekeeping and support services
