Job Requirements
- Ability to meet all agency vaccine and health-related policies and guidance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical
- Ability to work with various cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Ability to stand, stoop, twist, and bend for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to perform heavy work involving lifting up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and unscheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent
- Six months experience in housekeeping related support service
- Ability to work with various types of cleaning equipment
- Ability to handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
- Ability to obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Job Duties
- Provides routine, repetitive housekeeping tasks and duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions
- Maintains cleanliness and orderly resident rooms and buildings
- Collaborates with the Activity Department for group activities by providing clean-up of garbage from activities on the units and facility events as directed
- Promptly reports supply shortages and equipment problems or repairs needed to the supervisor
- Assists in the training of other workers and discusses expectations and progress with the supervisor
- Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of housekeeping and support services
