Job Requirements
- Ba/bs in computer science, information systems, or related field
- 5+ years experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent production server environment
- experience integrating Linux with Windows infrastructure including Samba, Active Directory, Kerberos
- scripting expertise in shell scripting/python
- excellent communication and project management skills
- familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- financial services industry experience is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent Linux in a production server environment
- Experience integrating Linux systems with Windows infrastructure such as Samba, Active Directory, and Kerberos
- Proficient in shell scripting and Python
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Financial services industry experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Manage operational tasks for Red Hat Linux Servers including server builds, upgrades, performance tuning, and hardware/software troubleshooting
- Oversee server patching, lifecycle management, and configuration consistency to meet operational standards
- Administer and optimize containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift or similar orchestration products
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure including VM provisioning, storage management, and networking integration
- Monitor system performance and conduct performance analysis using monitoring tools and log aggregation
- Collaborate with development teams to provide Git support
- Manage backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure high availability and data integrity
- Document procedures, system configurations, and operational processes
- Maintain source code repositories and computational environments
