Job Requirements
- Seven years of experience in information technology or administrative services
- OR six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years in IT or administrative services
- OR an associate’s degree in IT plus five years of experience in IT or administrative services
- OR a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in IT or administrative services
- OR a bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics plus four years of experience in IT or administrative services
- OR a master’s degree plus four years of experience in IT or administrative services
- Certification in an approved area may substitute education and/or experience requirements
- Successful completion of background and criminal record check
- Employment eligibility verification via E-Verify
- Ability to perform supervisory duties and manage team operations
Job Qualifications
- Seven years of experience in information technology or administrative services
- Experience in managing IT support teams
- Knowledge of service management systems and Active Directory administration
- Strong problem management and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors and manage contracts
- Experience in evaluating and recommending technology solutions
- Supervisory and staff development experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Coordinates engagements with third-party vendors for support and system implementations
- Manages hardware and software inventory tracking statewide
- Plans and coordinates staff orientation, training, and education
- Evaluates new technology solutions and makes recommendations to management
- Participates in bid preparation and evaluation for hardware, software, and services
- Provides centralized administration and advanced support for statewide end user technology systems
- Performs root cause analysis and problem management to resolve ongoing issues
- Oversees performance of third-party support activities and all End User Computing functions
- Assists with administration and configuration of Service Management systems, Active Directory, endpoint security, and print servers
- Manages escalation of incidents to higher-level technical support
- Develops process automation for End User Computing tasks
- Acts as a subject matter expert and mentor for staff
- Manages consolidation of multiple configuration and service management systems
- Represents Deputy Director in meetings as needed
- Assists in developing technology standards and testing new equipment and software
- Conducts staff performance evaluations and manages schedules
- Identifies and recommends improvements for services and operations
- Completes continuing education and supervisory training
