Job Requirements
- Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
- able to read, write, and do simple math problems
- able to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from the general public and management
- ability to interact with all levels of management
- must be able to work nights
- possess a food handling license or ability to acquire one
- other job-related tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, ladders, scaffolds above 6 feet, and operate power-driven equipment
- ability to use job-related equipment like ladders and dollies
- minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a similar environment preferred
- previous experience as a Retail Associate, Cashier, or Grocery Clerk preferred
- able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid
Job Duties
- Providing premier customer service, including greeting and responding to customers and staff
- responding quickly and friendly to customer inquiries and complaints
- engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques
- bagging merchandise
- assisting in returning shopping carts and baskets
- reporting irregular issues to Store Manager
- exceeding sales goals through company policies
- opening and closing cash registers
- counting cash transactions
- scanning merchandise
- checking coupons for validity and expiration
- verifying IDs for tobacco and alcohol sales
- processing purchases efficiently
- managing returns and credits per policy
- conducting transactions professionally
- working various shifts as assigned
- organizing and stocking Customer Service display areas
- maintaining Customer Service section condition
- supporting promotional activities
- ensuring all Customer Service products are correctly placed
