Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one or more years of experience in fast-paced kitchen environments
  • knowledge of various cooking ingredients
  • familiarity with authentic Korean flavors
  • ability to stand, climb, balance, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • specific vision skills including near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • minimum one year experience in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred
  • knowledge of various cooking ingredients preferred
  • familiarity with authentic Korean food flavors preferred

Job Duties

  • Establish stations and gather all necessary supplies to prepare for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold dishes
  • prepare sauces and garnishes for the assigned station
  • cover, label, date, and store all foods properly according to safe food handling procedures
  • inform the chef in advance of potential shortages
  • prepare made-to-order dishes
  • set up disinfectant buckets and towels
  • constantly check equipment on the line to ensure no gas leaks
  • perform temperature checks of all portable and reach-in refrigerators
  • place rubber mats at the station
  • conduct tasting sessions with team members
  • restock reach-in refrigerators
  • prepare lunch boxes for upcoming rushes
  • clean line equipment including grills, stoves, flat tops, rice warmers, and under equipment
  • change sheet liners on top of ranges
  • clean sinks and disinfect them
  • disinfect preparation area surfaces
  • sweep and mop floors
  • empty and wash disinfectant buckets
  • perform other assigned duties
