Job Requirements

  • Must be able to withstand peak hour volumes
  • must be able to communicate and work with both back and front of house
  • preferably prior experience in restaurants and/or dishwashing
  • physical demands include standing, climbing or balancing, bending or kneeling
  • occasional lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
  • specific vision requirements including near, far, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • required proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques

Job Duties

  • Wash all utensils, pots, grills, dirty dishes, and bowls by hand and with the dishwasher
  • knowledge of proper use of detergent and disinfectant
  • ensure kitchen floors are always dry and hazard-free
  • transfer utensils, pots, grills, dishes, and bowls to dry
  • ensure kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and regularly detailed
  • empty garbage bins regularly and clean and dry them
  • place new liners in garbage bins daily
  • wash garbage bins with a hose every day and let them dry overnight
  • set up disinfectant buckets and towels
  • dismantle and clean the dishwasher machine
  • sweep and mop the floors in the dishwashing area
  • clean walls with disinfectant
  • clean rings by scraping large residue, cleaning corners with electric drill, scrubbing with metal pad, and placing in dishwasher rack
  • prepare fog tank
  • break down and dispose of boxes
  • perform other assigned functions
