Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years experience in medical office
- Ability to manage a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Competent in using EMR scheduling systems
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and positivity
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and walk throughout the day
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of medical office experience
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-patient volume environment
- Bilingual ability is a plus
- Knowledge of medical practice scheduling protocols
- Knowledge of EMR scheduling systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills with patients and clinicians
- Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately
- Proficient with multi-line phone systems
- Clear and audible speaking voice

Job Duties
- Greet callers warmly and provide courteous service
- Understand the responsibility of serving as the first point of contact for patients
- Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with sensitive medical information
- Answer calls promptly within three to four rings
- Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments accurately
- Update patient demographics and insurance information thoroughly
- Maintain and regularly update scheduling systems and patient records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and staff regarding scheduling
- Address patient concerns efficiently using customer service principles
- Complete clerical duties as assigned by office manager
- Fax patient medical records or information as requested
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment
