Job Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience in composites manufacturing or equivalent experience and training
- Ability to perform resin content and fiber area weight testing
- Ability to conduct viscosity testing and maintain related data
- Ability to maintain traceability of products and samples
- Proficient in using electronic databases and ERP for data entry
- Ability to identify and report nonconforming materials and conditions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE
- Able to work under supervision
- Willingness to perform additional related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-5 years experience in composites manufacturing or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Ability to calculate fractions, proportions, percentages, and perform basic algebra
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and test methods
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences
- Effective communication skills with groups of employees
- Ability to complete tasks promptly
- Multi-language skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Obtain in-process or other production samples for testing
- Conduct resin content and fiber area weight tests
- Open and close Adhesive, Woven, and Unitape work orders
- Perform viscosity testing and maintain viscometer database
- Maintain QC retained samples in specified storage conditions
- Verify paperwork, run conditions, calibration status and raw material expiration before production
- Perform effective testing and inspection per product and work order requirements
- Follow coordinated test plans using proper methodologies
- Maintain lot traceability in all materials and records
- Compile and record test data in electronic databases and quality records
- Identify and label non-conforming materials and report immediately
- Support diagnosis of root causes for surface defects
- Work under supervision of production supervisors or managers
- Perform job duties according to company procedures ensuring process conformity
- Follow safety rules and use personal protective equipment
- Exhibit exemplary conduct and contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
