Job Duties

  • plan various student experience events that reflect the university's mission throughout the year
  • manage multiple events simultaneously
  • regularly meet with the director of involvement events to exchange updates
  • develop creative, unique concepts, ideas, and décor models for approval
  • maintain photo archives, inventories, and event supplies
  • develop project plans, production timelines, and budgets
  • coordinate event marketing and public relations efforts with internal departments
  • lead and attend event meetings with necessary participants
  • collect RFPs, quotes, and estimates from vendors
  • communicate SCAD standards and expectations with clients to ensure they are upheld
  • oversee all print, visual media, social media, and web-related requests for assigned events
  • coordinate space reservations, housekeeping, grounds, transportation, and security with the physical resources team
  • work with city departments and services to ensure compliance with city ordinances
  • submit applications for permits and temporary licenses
  • coordinate event volunteers
  • complete financial documentation promptly
  • source gift and giveaway ideas
  • order and install floral décor
  • book entertainment for all events
  • project and compile event costs for an accurate budget
  • interact with guests as a host
