Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- high school diploma or GED required
- relevant college coursework preferred
- food service or cash handling experience preferred
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ year of experience in the food service industry or similar preferred
- first aid, CPR, and AED training
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- knowledge of retail merchandising, Park District policies, and inventory and food & beverage best practices
- good oral communication and interpersonal skills
- creative, energetic, and proactive in problem-solving
- ability to document information accurately
- must be available to work up to 40+ hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Receive and inspect all incoming food and beverage inventory, conduct quality assurance inspections and accuracy verification across multiple district locations
- Receive and accurately tag, label, and package golf merchandise for proper inventory tracking
- Organize and stock golf products to ensure availability and accurate tracking
- Coordinate with the Inventory Operations Manager on incoming deliveries and address any delivery or inventory issues
- Stock inventory in appropriate storage areas and maintain organized and efficient storage spaces
- Ensure inventory is properly rotated using the first-in-first-out (FIFO) method
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receiving and inter-departmental transfers
- Use inventory management software (Rectrac, Lightspeed, and Craftable) to manage inventory data and ensure accuracy
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records
- Verify product invoices against purchase orders and report any discrepancies
- Support retail inventory preparation for events and seasonal transitions
- Maintain compliance with health department guidelines for food storage, handling, and preparation
- Compile and distribute weekly and monthly inventory usage and variance reports to support operational and financial decision-making
- Track waste, spoilage, shrinkage, and returns
- identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain data integrity within RecTrac, Lightspeed, and Craftable to ensure accurate reporting
- Support month-end inventory reconciliation and collaborate with Operations to resolve discrepancies
- Provide support for all district Food & Beverage operations, ensuring consistency across all facilities
- Act as the point of contact for supervisory or safety-related issues and resolve concerns as they arise
- Monitor and maintain records of Bassett, Food Handlers, and Food Protection Manager certifications to ensure compliance with all food and beverage safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Transfer and transport inventory between district locations as necessary
- Assist with managing vendor relationships, contracts, and financial processing
- Oversee risk management components, including compliance with safety programs and PDRMA guidelines
- Support hiring, training, and evaluating seasonal employees and volunteers
- Ensure adherence to district cash control systems and assist with catering requests
- Submit and follow up on work orders with Maintenance and IS departments
- Act as Manager on Duty as required
- Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts
