Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a hospitality program preferred
- Ability to handle physical tasks including pushing and pulling equipment up to 100 lbs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours and comply with attendance policies
- Commitment to professional development and learning
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public
Job Duties
- Shadow identified leaders within the Housekeeping department at the hotel
- Shadow each shift and each position within the Housekeeping department at the hotel
- Consistently attend department meetings within Housekeeping as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel
- Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Housekeeping department
- Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
- Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
- Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned
