Job Requirements

  • Recent or current enrollment in a hospitality degree program
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse teams and customers
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

Job Qualifications

  • Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons
  • Ability to use point of service computer
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc

Job Duties

  • Shadow identified leaders within the department at the hotel
  • Shadow each shift and each position within the outlet you are assigned to at the hotel
  • Consistently attend department meetings as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel
  • Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Food & Beverage team
  • Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
  • Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and policies
