Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in legal, business or technology related field
- 3+ years of experience in import, export, and/or technology enablement
- Experience with U.S. import and export regulations including ITAR/EAR
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring co-location 2-3 days per week
- Active accreditation such as CPA license, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or other relevant certifications
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in trade management software preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring co-location 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience in import, export, and/or technology enablement (operational, government, law firm, or consulting)
- Bachelor’s degree in legal, business or technology related field
- Experience with U.S. import regulations
- Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average
- Active accreditation such as licensed CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, U.S. Customhouse Broker’s License, CUSECO, CUSICO, or professional accreditation in EU customs law
- Preferred consulting experience
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Foreign language skills or study abroad experience
- Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with trade management software like SAP GTS or Oracle GTM
- Project management experience
- Ability to develop internal and external relationships effectively
- Detail-oriented and self-starter
- Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio
- SAP SD/MM certifications
Job Duties
- Help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies in their global supply chain
- Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance
- Work with clients to assess and deploy technology solutions to enable international trade management operations
- Provide planning and compliance assistance and explore automated import and export solutions
- Conduct supply chain efficiency planning including trade and security, customs valuation planning, first sale for export planning, and analysis of transfer pricing policies
- Support process improvement planning and implementation
- Assist with trade compliance audits and represent clients before trade authorities around the world
