Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in student support, event planning, or content creation
- strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- familiarity with international student experiences or working with diverse populations
- proficiency in social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube
- basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
- comfort with photography and videography
- strong written communication skills
- ability to plan and support events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferred fields include communication, higher education, international studies, student affairs, or a related field
- at least 1 year of relevant experience in student support, event planning, or content creation, experience may include work through student organizations, internships, or graduate assistantships
- strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- familiarity with international student experiences and/or working with diverse student populations
- proficiency in using social media platforms for outreach and storytelling such as Instagram and YouTube
- basic graphic design ability using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
- comfort with photography/videography using mobile devices and digital cameras
- strong written communication skills
- ability to plan, promote, and support in-person programs and events
- event planning and/or student engagement experience
Job Duties
- Serve as a welcoming presence for international students and assist them in navigating campus life, university systems, and cultural adjustment
- attend and support major international student events, including setup, promotion, and student engagement
- maintain a social media calendar and develop and post content across social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube to promote events and highlight student stories
- capture photo and video content at events for use in newsletters, reports, and digital signage
- design flyers, posters, and other promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
- coordinate the department's seasonal outreach around tax filing obligations for international students, in collaboration with Payroll and other campus partners
- support the creation and maintenance of instructional videos and digital student resources
- collaborate with student organizations and graduate assistants on content ideas and community initiatives
- assist in monitoring the departmental inbox, responding to general inquiries, and managing RSVPs and event calendars
- contribute to assessment efforts by gathering feedback, tracking media engagement, and organizing visual documentation
- provide backup support for website edits and content updates under the direction of the Director
