Job Requirements

  • Associates degree related field or equivalent to 7 years in industry
  • 5-7 years work experience in international freight forwarding industry
  • minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory position
  • IATA certified
  • DG certification desired
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment
  • high standards in quality and service level agreements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise staff assignment distribution, reporting and absences
  • monitor staff overtime and schedules
  • maintain and ensure safety culture and quality standards
  • execute all standard operating procedures (SOP), key performance indicators (KPIs), trainings, and other assignments
  • provide leadership and management of international accounts
  • conduct quarterly audits and reviews with direct reports
  • set employee goals ensuring conformity to company standards and high performance
  • conduct new-hire training for new employees
  • develop the skills and competence of staff through training, coaching and on-the-job development
  • manage office operations when the manager is absent
  • perform all other duties as assigned
