Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of international freight forwarding experience
  • industry related degree and/or certification
  • proficiency in logistics and supply chain software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • detail oriented with ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of international freight forwarding experience
  • industry related degree and/or certification
  • knowledge of transportation principles for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road
  • understanding of customer needs assessment and quality service standards
  • proficiency in business and management principles including strategic planning and resource allocation
  • awareness of production and processing techniques for goods distribution
  • knowledge of public safety and security policies and procedures
  • experience with personnel recruitment, selection, training, and labor relations
  • strong computer skills including ERP, MRP, CRM, and logistics software
  • familiarity with curriculum and training design
  • proficiency in mathematics and economic principles relevant to logistics

Job Duties

  • Seek opportunities and challenges that maximize profit and reduce customer supply chain costs
  • cooperate with cross-functional teams to accomplish organizational objectives
  • facilitate day to day shipment activity
  • provide status updates to customers
  • process all shipment and transportation activities for key customer accounts
  • provide instructions to external agents per standard operating procedures
  • process quoted shipments with operations specialists and agents
  • handle import shipments from origin pickup to delivery
  • follow up with agents on shipment status
  • update information and accrue all costs in the operating system
  • adhere to established customer standard operating procedures
