Job Requirements

  • 4 year degree
  • 3 to 5 years international freight forwarding experience
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to use compliance and ERP software
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software
  • experience with logistics and supply chain software
  • detail oriented
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • seek opportunities and challenges to maximize profit while reducing customer supply chain costs
  • cooperate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives
  • facilitate daily shipment activities
  • provide status updates to customers
  • process shipment and transportation activities for key customers
  • provide instructions to external agents per standard operating procedures
  • handle import shipments from origin to delivery
  • update and accrue all costs in the operating system
  • adhere to established customer SOP
  • select shipment routes based on goods, transit times, and security needs
  • reserve space on transportation modes
  • arrange delivery or storage of goods
  • consolidate loads to reduce costs
  • complete shipping documentation
  • inform clients of shipping options and regulations
