Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in air, ocean, import and export operations
  • CCS-certified coding specialist
  • CCO-certified cargowise operator
  • Advanced knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA regulations
  • Medium proficiency in general computer skills

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in air, ocean, import and export operations
  • Preferred 7 years experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics
  • Advanced knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA regulations
  • Medium proficiency in general computer skills
  • CCS-certified coding specialist
  • CCO-certified cargowise operator
  • Dangerous goods certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with customers to qualify shipping requirements and obtain all necessary documents for shipment quotation
  • Prepare accurate and profitable quotations
  • Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals
  • Coordinate day to day import and/or export of products including reviewing orders and documents
  • Track and communicate all shipment delays, damages, and problems and resolve customer issues
  • Manage all aspects of air and ocean international operations including customer service, data entry, operations, and billing
  • Track shipments to ensure timely movement, identify and rectify deviations from schedule
  • Coordinate recovery and delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners
  • Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems and updates to customers and international partners
  • Ensure adherence to customer SOPs and company KPIs and guidelines
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of shipments within company guidelines and timelines
