Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in export/import operations
- Minimum 5 years freight forwarding experience for international operations
- Knowledge of IATA, NVOCC, FAA, TSA, export regulations, AES, CBP
- Intermediate knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA regulations
- Proficient with general computer skills
- CCS certification required
- Dangerous Goods certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in export/import operations
- 5+ years experience as freight forwarder for international operations including basic IATA/NVOCC, FAA, TSA, export regulations, AES and general CBP knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations
- General computer skills
- CCS - Certified Coding Specialist
- Dangerous Goods Certification (preferred)
Job Duties
- Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all necessary details
- Prepare profitable quotations accurately
- Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to ensure timely loading, departures, and arrivals
- Coordinate daily import and export of products including review of orders and documents
- Track and communicate shipment delays, damages, or problems and resolve customer issues
- Manage all aspects of air and ocean international operations including customer service, data entry, operations, and billing
- Track shipments to ensure they follow scheduled routes and update tracking system
- Coordinate recovery and delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners
- Partner with local sales teams to communicate issues to customers and international partners
- Ensure compliance with customers' SOP instructions and company KPIs
- Ensure timely and accurate billing within company guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all company policies and standards
