Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in export/import operations
  • 5+ years experience as freight forwarder for international operations including basic IATA/NVOCC, FAA, TSA, export regulations, AES and general CBP knowledge
  • CCS-Certified Coding Specialist - Certified Cargowise Specialist (CCS) certification
  • intermediate knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations
  • general computer skills medium

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 3+ years experience in export/import operations
  • 5+ years experience as freight forwarder for international operations including basic IATA/NVOCC, FAA, TSA, export regulations, AES and general CBP knowledge
  • CCS-Certified Coding Specialist - Certified Cargowise Specialist (CCS) certification required
  • intermediate knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations
  • general computer skills medium
  • dangerous goods certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details necessary for shipment quotation and operation
  • prepare profitable quotations accurately
  • set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals timely
  • coordinate day to day import and export of products including reviewing orders and documents
  • track and communicate all delays, damages, and problems while working to resolve customer issues
  • manage all aspects of air and ocean international operations including customer service, data entry, operations, and billing
  • track shipments to ensure they move as scheduled and update systems immediately
  • coordinate recovery and delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners
  • partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers and international partners as needed
  • ensure customers' SOP instructions are followed and AIT KPIs and guidelines are met
  • ensure shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • comply with all policies and standards
