Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain logistics international business or related field
  • Five plus years of experience in international logistics and import compliance preferably in a shipper environment
  • Proven expertise with U.S. import regulations HTS classification customs brokerage and freight forwarding
  • Strong understanding of trade compliance including Incoterms Free Trade Agreements AD/CVD and Section 232
  • Experience implementing or improving Importer of Record processes
  • Knowledge of trade risk and security programs including CTPAT ISA and related standards
  • Excellent communication leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical skills proficiency with Excel and familiarity with ERP or TMS systems

Job Duties

  • Establish and manage Importer of Record processes ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies
  • Oversee all aspects of import compliance including tariff classification valuation and documentation
  • Direct day-to-day import operations including customs clearance broker service-level agreements discrepancy resolution vendor documentation corrections international payables bond oversight and invoice auditing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers freight forwarders suppliers and other partners
  • Lead supplier compliance discussions and serve as the contact for resolving logistics challenges
  • Partner with procurement supply chain finance and supplier relations to design scalable import logistics strategies
  • Develop and maintain SOPs compliance manuals and training programs to ensure consistency
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities
  • Monitor regulatory changes trade agreements and industry best practices
  • Lead supply chain risk and security management programs including CTPAT ISA and ANL
  • Provide import expertise to support broader transportation initiatives including cross-border operations and ocean freight alignment
