Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and teams

Job Qualifications

  • Industry experience in freight forwarding or import/export preferred
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills with understanding of basic profit and loss statements
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Basic world geography knowledge
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Ability to work in a team and with diverse cultures
  • Results-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Multi-lingual a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Job Duties

  • Anticipate, plan and ensure efficient and cost-effective shipment routing
  • Utilize operating systems such as SCAN and SISTRS to manage move processes
  • Communicate and coordinate with agents, vendors, and customers including negotiation of rates
  • Handle customer issues with urgency and empathy while following move management process
  • Generate competitive rate quotes and manage margin and vendor selection
  • Settle invoice exceptions through research, negotiation and documentation
  • Provide coverage for absent colleagues and support cross-department coordination
