Job Qualifications
- industry experience in freight forwarding or import/export preferred
- minimum 2 years customer service experience
- strong oral and written communication skills with business etiquette

- strong analytical skills with understanding of basic profit & loss statement

- basic world geography knowledge
- strong organizational skills including time management, priority setting and multitasking
- teamwork and ability to work with different cultures

Job Duties
- anticipate, plan and ensure the most efficient and cost-effective shipment routing based on customer requirements
- prompt management using operating system (SCAN) to ensure timeliness of moves
- work in a paperless environment utilizing SISTRS imaging system
- manage metrics and adhere to KPIs
- communicate and coordinate with agents, vendors and customers
- mitigate adverse financial impact of shipment issues
- understand and set move expectations with agents
- handle customer issues with urgency and empathy
- maintain communication with U.S. and overseas agents and vendors
- coordinate logistics, pricing and move details
- support coordination with accounts and billing departments
- manage agent satisfaction and provide customs guidance
- generate competitive rate quotes for all shipment aspects
- manage margin, vendor selection, transportation expense and shipment routing
- evaluate all move aspects for profitability
- settle invoice exceptions via cost research and negotiation
- document root causes of exceptions to reduce recurrence
- follow formal dispute resolution processes
