Job Description

This position is a Civil Service role within the Human Services Department, dedicated to improving the quality of life for community members facing food insecurity. The department plays a vital role in providing essential support services to vulnerable populations, ensuring equitable access to nutrition and related resources. This role is a full-time opportunity with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekend and overtime work as required by operational demands. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in food pantry or social services preferred
  • ability to work Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to pantry operations and maintenance
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food pantry or social services environment preferred
  • ability to collaborate with diverse staff and volunteers
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • basic knowledge of general building maintenance
  • commitment to supporting food-insecure populations

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of pantry operations including monitoring inventory
  • maintain product quality and restock supplies
  • ensure pantry environment is clean, organized, and client ready
  • assist with the Food Pantry, Anytime Food Program, and Clothing Closet
  • perform general building maintenance for Human Services
  • collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partner agencies
  • support daily operations and ensure access to reliable food resources
