Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 9 years of progressively responsible experience or bachelor’s degree in communications or related field with 5 years of experience in event management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate events or event management
- Previous onsite event experience
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, or fingers
- Capability to move objects up to 10 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with significant experience or bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
- Minimum 3 years of corporate event management experience
- Experience working with all levels of management including executives
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and vendors
- Strong project management skills from concept to execution
- Experience in fast-paced environments with competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Plans and organizes internal events including researching and hiring vendors
- Aligns agendas and speakers for events
- Books venues and coordinates transportation
- Invites participants and plans event activities
- Prepares event materials such as name badges and signage
- Communicates with stakeholders to update and align on event goals
- Coordinates and project manages across multiple departments to execute events
- Meets with leaders and executives to plan event specifications
- Negotiates contracts with vendors and service providers
- Manages event execution from setup through teardown
- Evaluates events post-completion and processes invoices
- Assesses potential vendors and locations for future events
- Performs other duties as assigned
