Job Requirements
- pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive technology management, computer science, management information systems, or industrial design
- available for a 1-year internship starting in May and ending the following May
- able to work 37.5 hours per week during the summer and 18-25 hours per week during the school year
- able to work at Subaru headquarters in Camden, NJ or Subaru Operations in Pennsauken, NJ
- must be an undergraduate student
- must have authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- current juniors or seniors planning to pursue a master’s degree or students enrolled in a master’s program
- must be active students for the entire length of the internship
- at least 1 year of work experience
- possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record depending on internship
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- assist in course and training aid design and creation for automotive technical training
- support material editing and pilot the train-the-trainer activities
- utilize analytics tools like Oracle R-studio and QLIK to monitor quality issues and topics
- test new and revised reports created by the IT department for field quality assurance
- support quality assurance managers with process documentation and report improvement
- evaluate vehicle accessories for new model year vehicles and analyze warranty claims data
- collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to assess new accessories and quality concerns
- assist with vehicle software evaluations including data logging and issue tracking
- coordinate with vehicle management teams to procure vehicles for evaluation
