Job Requirements

  • pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive technology management, computer science, management information systems, or industrial design
  • available for a 1-year internship starting in May and ending the following May
  • able to work 37.5 hours per week during the summer and 18-25 hours per week during the school year
  • able to work at Subaru headquarters in Camden, NJ or Subaru Operations in Pennsauken, NJ
  • must be an undergraduate student
  • must have authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • current juniors or seniors planning to pursue a master’s degree or students enrolled in a master’s program
  • must be active students for the entire length of the internship
  • at least 1 year of work experience
  • possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record depending on internship
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • assist in course and training aid design and creation for automotive technical training
  • support material editing and pilot the train-the-trainer activities
  • utilize analytics tools like Oracle R-studio and QLIK to monitor quality issues and topics
  • test new and revised reports created by the IT department for field quality assurance
  • support quality assurance managers with process documentation and report improvement
  • evaluate vehicle accessories for new model year vehicles and analyze warranty claims data
  • collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to assess new accessories and quality concerns
  • assist with vehicle software evaluations including data logging and issue tracking
  • coordinate with vehicle management teams to procure vehicles for evaluation
