Job Requirements
- Reliable WiFi connection
- minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 5 pm
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
- work must be performed inside the United States if working remotely
Job Qualifications
- Senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in business preferably marketing, event planning, public relations or public health with fundraising focus
- comfortable with vendor outreach by phone calls and emails to vendors and donors
- experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising
- experience with event planning for a non-profit or for profit organization
- demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications
- proficient in multiple social media platforms
- ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities
- intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva
Job Duties
- Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising activities
- coordinate logistics and provide administrative support for the Hampton Roads market
- work with Event Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support Go Red for Women, Heart Challenge, Heart of Hampton Roads campaigns
- assist with pre-campaign planning, day of event execution, and post-campaign wrap-up
- execute external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and 3rd party vendors
- develop and update marketing materials including save the dates, invitations, social media posts, volunteer rosters, lookbooks, run of shows/agendas
- assist with volunteer management including prepping for and attending meetings
- conduct prospect research to generate new leads and compile information for fundraising campaigns
