Job Requirements

  • Reliable WiFi connection
  • minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 5 pm
  • must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
  • work must be performed inside the United States if working remotely

Job Qualifications

  • Senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in business preferably marketing, event planning, public relations or public health with fundraising focus
  • comfortable with vendor outreach by phone calls and emails to vendors and donors
  • experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising
  • experience with event planning for a non-profit or for profit organization
  • demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications
  • proficient in multiple social media platforms
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities
  • intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva

Job Duties

  • Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising activities
  • coordinate logistics and provide administrative support for the Hampton Roads market
  • work with Event Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support Go Red for Women, Heart Challenge, Heart of Hampton Roads campaigns
  • assist with pre-campaign planning, day of event execution, and post-campaign wrap-up
  • execute external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and 3rd party vendors
  • develop and update marketing materials including save the dates, invitations, social media posts, volunteer rosters, lookbooks, run of shows/agendas
  • assist with volunteer management including prepping for and attending meetings
  • conduct prospect research to generate new leads and compile information for fundraising campaigns
