Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with 5 or fewer points
- Ability to perform direct support and direct care functions
- No prior experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of arithmetic including addition and subtraction
- Willingness to complete necessary training and certifications
- Comfortable working variable full-time and part-time shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with 5 or fewer points
- Ability to perform direct support and direct care functions
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary
- Certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry for Veteran Services positions
Job Duties
- Assist residents with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communication, money management, etiquette, and social skills
- Implement active treatment activities such as gym, pavilion, activity room and pool
- Assist with planning and shopping activities including vocational skills and hair appointments
- Complete daily and monthly documentation including reporting unusual incidents or medication reactions
- Perform light housekeeping duties in living areas
- Redirect unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes
- Support residents to achieve greater independence
