Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • minimum 2 years pastry/baking experience preferred
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and walk long distances
  • ability to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight
  • California Food Handlers Certification
  • strong communication skills
  • capable of working independently at a single kitchen station

Job Qualifications

  • refined verbal communication skills
  • 2 years of previous pastry/baking experience preferred
  • able to work single station in the kitchen
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • able to perform all basic cooking skills
  • must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
  • flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight
  • California Food Handlers Certification required

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry products in accordance with pastry shop standards
  • assist higher level bakers as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry work area
  • follow food safety and hygiene regulations
  • assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely production of pastry items
  • perform other duties as assigned by the Chef
