Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years experience in a hotel kitchen or similar fast-paced culinary environment
- valid California Food Handlers Certification
- ability to work early morning shifts
- physical ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
- flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
- strong communication skills
- candidate must demonstrate good culinary knowledge and skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or related hotel cooking experience preferred
- minimum 2 years of previous line cooking experience
- experience with grilling and sauté stations required
- ability to work independently on single kitchen stations
- strong verbal communication skills
- capability to perform all basic cooking skills
- flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods
- California Food Handlers Certification
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- manage and operate single kitchen stations such as grilling and sauté
- ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- communicate effectively with kitchen team and management
- assist in inventory control and stock rotation
- adhere to scheduled work hours including early mornings and weekends
