Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in a hotel kitchen or similar fast-paced culinary environment
  • valid California Food Handlers Certification
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • physical ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
  • flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • candidate must demonstrate good culinary knowledge and skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related hotel cooking experience preferred
  • minimum 2 years of previous line cooking experience
  • experience with grilling and sauté stations required
  • ability to work independently on single kitchen stations
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • capability to perform all basic cooking skills
  • flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods
  • California Food Handlers Certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • manage and operate single kitchen stations such as grilling and sauté
  • ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • communicate effectively with kitchen team and management
  • assist in inventory control and stock rotation
  • adhere to scheduled work hours including early mornings and weekends
