Job Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal communication skills
  • Two years of previous line experience preferred
  • Pastry experience required
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills
  • Able to work single station in the kitchen
  • High volume pastry station experience required
  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight
  • California Food Handlers Certification required

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related hotel culinary experience preferred
  • Minimum two years of line and fine dining experience
  • Proven pastry experience required
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • Experience working in high-volume pastry stations
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Able to work single kitchen station effectively

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistency and quality in presentation and taste
  • Manage a high-volume pastry station efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry work area
  • Collaborate with kitchen team for smooth operations and timely service
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation
