Job Requirements

  • valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • respirator fit qualified
  • regularly scheduled attendance required
  • routinely lifts 50 lbs, occasionally 100 lbs
  • reads small print
  • identifies small finish imperfections
  • hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies
  • repetitive motion
  • works with moving parts and vibration
  • tolerates working in confined spaces
  • tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance
  • tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
  • tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • six months related experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of finishing materials and techniques
  • ability to follow detailed instructions
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to learn new skills
  • physical ability to perform routine lifting and activities associated with finish work

Job Duties

  • prepares cabinet surfaces and substrates for paint or finish to customer satisfaction
  • applies stains, dyes, paints or finishes to prepared parts
  • mixes paint and stains as needed
  • performs basic detail work, polish and clean-up on finished items
  • prepares and signs off or understands various documents for record keeping
  • follows FAA regulations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures
  • performs other related duties as assigned
