Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient with computer skills including experience with practice management software desired

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors entering the practice and direct or escort them to specific destinations
  • Ensure that reception area is presentable for visitors
  • Perform timely assessment of individual needs and provide prompt response with appropriate resources
  • Complete patient intake screening including obtaining and documenting all needed information for all appointments
  • Check patients in for appointments and communicate any expected delays in physician clinics
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls, providing information and taking messages
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in handling patient complaints, document and forward to appropriate administrative staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
