Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments for selling and servicing Auto Club Group membership products
  • Successful completion of customer service, insurance, and membership training within 6 months of hire
  • Proven experience in customer-focused service roles
  • Experience servicing insurance policies including processing applications, renewals, and amendments
  • Ability to respond to billing and coverage inquiries
  • Experience taking monetary transactions and payments
  • Ability to promote insurance products using established guidelines
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends, holidays, and community events

Job Qualifications

  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments for selling and servicing Auto Club Group membership products
  • Successful completion of customer service, insurance, and membership training within 6 months of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to provide high level customer-focused service
  • Experience servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments
  • Ability to respond to billing and coverage questions effectively
  • Experience processing monetary transactions including taking payments
  • Ability to promote insurance products and services using established guidelines
  • Skill in presenting complex information clearly and concisely
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology, general insurance regulations, underwriting procedures, sales regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Proficiency with insurance and membership systems such as PPS, POS, IMS, and IPM
  • Strong teamwork and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills to explain instructions, rules, and procedures clearly
  • Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations for transactions
  • Experience working under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced customer service environment
  • Successful completion of ACG product and service training

Job Duties

  • Perform retention calls, process applications, renewals, and amendments, resolve customer problems, sell membership and financial products
  • Provide price quotes on insurance products factoring in underwriting and business rules and applicable discounts to complete sales
  • Take insurance payments including initial, installment, lapse, or reinstatement payments
  • Respond to insurance inquiries explaining product features and service advantages to promote and sell insurance, membership, and financial products
  • Refer customers to agents when appropriate
  • Recognize and promote cross-sale opportunities during servicing changes to existing policies
  • Provide efficient processing of customer policies, endorsements, and changes in line with state rules and company policies
  • Assist management and agents by performing sales processing activities
  • Conduct outbound promotional and retention calls per management requests
  • Participate in a team environment promoting customer satisfaction and consistent service
  • Receive and resolve member and customer complaints seeking management assistance when needed
  • Participate in community and office events to boost insurance revenue and member awareness
  • Maintain and service insurance policies accurately
  • Prepare insurance proposals, policy changes, transfers, and billing clarifications
  • Contact members to renew delinquent memberships, late payments, and solicit reinstatements
  • Verify new business applications
  • Refer members to other product lines such as Travel and Life insurance
  • Process insurance and membership payments
  • Update electronic member information and maintain filing systems
  • Provide general agency support as required
